These terms govern the use of Cortex, a BrainTech product, currently in a founding beta with 20 spots. By creating your account you agree to the following.
What the service is
Cortex is organization software plus an AI agent that always acts with human approval. The product is in beta: some features roll out in stages and may change before the final version.
Your account and access
You access Cortex with personal credentials. You are responsible for keeping them secure and for the activity that happens in your account.
How the AI works
Your Cortex subscription pays for the software: the platform, the agent, the brain, and the approvals module. You contract the AI directly with OpenRouter, using your own key. That cost and that relationship are between you and OpenRouter: we do not charge any margin on your AI usage.
The agent's golden rule
The agent never executes an outward action (sending an email, scheduling with a third party, spending money) without your explicit approval. Everything it proposes sits in the Approvals module until you decide.
The beta program
You are joining a beta program. That means functionality rolls out in stages and there is no guarantee of continuous availability. If you are one of the 20 founding spots, your price stays frozen for life as long as you keep your subscription active.
Payments and cancellation
The subscription is billed monthly. You can cancel it whenever you want, with no penalty. When you cancel a paid plan, your account drops to the Base plan and you keep all your data.
Ownership of your data
Your data and your brain are always yours. The software, brand, and technology of Cortex belong to BrainTech.
Limitation of liability
We do our best to keep the service available and reliable, but as a beta we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or specific results. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador.
