What AI-native means for a services company (an operational definition)

“AI-native” gets repeated so often it lost its meaning. Nerio Company works from an operational definition, with conditions you can check, not a marketing aspiration.

Three conditions

A brain of its own. The company has structured memory of its operation, its clients, and its decisions, not scattered across three people’s heads and a spreadsheet.

Agents that run closed, end-to-end processes. Not a support chatbot. A process that today eats hours of someone’s time, and that an agent completes, with human approval at the point where it matters.

People get stronger, not replaced. The goal isn’t headcount reduction. It’s the same people handling more cases, at better quality, without working more hours.

What it is NOT

It’s not having ChatGPT open in a tab. It’s not a WhatsApp bot answering FAQs. It’s not hiring a consultancy that hands over a PDF and leaves.

Why the definition matters

Without checkable conditions, anything gets called AI-native. With them, a company can measure whether it’s actually making progress or just buying loose tools.
